I have been feeling rather under the weather the last few days I'm afraid; but I think I'm starting to be on the upswing. I ended up running into a few people who were on their way up to dinner last night, so I went up to North Campus and, well, had dinner. That was swell. By the end of dinner I was feeling rather feverish, unfortunately. Once we got back down the hill everyone went to take showers and get ready to go to Blues to Bop at ten. I talked to my mom and Kathryn for a bit each before heading up to my room, where I watched the first half hour of Me, You, and Everyone We Know while eating a bowl of Original-flavored Top Ramen, then went to sleep. (I really wanted some hot soup to help my throat). I woke up at approximately 6:44 am, then stayed in bed/stayed asleep until about 10:13am. I have pretty much spent the entire day in my room, not really doing much of anything. I've still been feeling a tad bit feverish, but it's much better now. I've been drinking a ridiculous amount of water--probably .5L an hour or so.
So this morning I made schmaan for breakfast and finished watching Me, You, and Everyone We Know. I ended up making some quite amazing Swiss-bought curry-flavored Top Ramen for lunch today. I also ate a kiwi this morning. Hmm, the account of my spectacular life in Switzerland has indeed been reduced to cataloging everything I have so far consumed today. Well then. I decided to come down to the common room in search of some company, where I am typing right now. Alanna (from Minnesota) is down here working on homework. I think the sleep, soup, water, & Ricola regimen is working out quite nicely for battling my typical, mild September cold. If there were something else to report, report it I would, but I don't think there is. Yesterday there was talk of trying to put together a potluck of some sort here at Girasole before going down to Blues to Bop, but I haven't heard anything about it today, so I don't know. Either way I should probably hit up the grocery store today, to make sure I have something to eat tomorrow, when the grocery store is closed... But it sounds very far away at the moment. We'll see if I make it over there before the 6:00pm closing time. All right, more soon I'm sure.
