Well it's been very busy lately, and it just keeps getting busy as the end of the semester comes closer. Just 26 days until the last day of Finals week--and only about two weeks until the last day of class. So there are, of course, lots of papers to be attended to and quizzes/tests/etc. to study for. I registered for classes a week+ ago--it looks like I'll be taking Introduction to International Political Economy, Social Scientific Argumentation, Applied Statistics, and then either Law & Ethics or Psychology. I'm undecided at the moment, and it also depends on the waitlisting situation. I've pretty much given up on getting into an Accounting class for next semester.
In other news, yesterday I did some homework in the morning. Then Lindsay came to campus and went to lunch with David and me. Then we went rockclimbing where Lindsay works, which was quite fun, although I hadn't been rockclimbing in three years and it was a bit nerveracking at first. Although I am now belay-certified, if only just barely... So I'll have to go again sometime soon. Then we went to Dairy Queen, and got milkshakes (well, I got a vanilla cone--luckily DQ uses almost frozen yogurt rather than real ice cream). Then last night we went to a 60th birthday celebration for Sharon, complete with live music. So it was a good day yesterday--and productive, too. Oh, and how could I forget? Yesterday morning David and I went to the Fitness Center, and he showed me how to do some weightlifting for my arms. I think he's going to have to accompany me a few more times yet. My arms are quite sore today... It's been a while. This being sick business put me out of commission for far too long.
Today has been pretty much solid homework all day, until now. Oh, one other interesting fact about yesterday; David's bed collapsed. More on that front later. Easter went quite well last weekend, although I was rather tired by the time everyone arrived. There was much breakfast to be cooked. Next weekend is Relay for Life, which my team is still trying to raise money for--so if anyone is interested in contributing to cancer research, please let me know, and I'll send you a link to my donation page, where you can donate online. It's rather nifty.
The weather's been pretty nice yet again today. Soraya's birthday party is the weekend, I hope everyone survived the night together. I'm now thinking about how to plan Kathryn's birthday party. I think we should go sleep in yerts on the Washington coast. Sounds exciting, right? And probably cheaper than going to Sasquatch... Well, that's all my news for now, but I'll write again soon--hopefully sooner than last time.
:-) Ari
